Mooncakes
It's Mid-Autumn festival.
I have no lanterns, no mooncakes, no piglet shaped biscuits.
I am terribly homesick.

So that I may remember why all things were created

Send me your snailmail (toomanythoughts over at Gmail) and I'll ship you a box, posthaste. If they're frozen when we send them, they should survive the trip okay, yah? Your freezing method seems to work, after all.
budak: That thought brings me no comfort!
tym: You are so sweet! But...won't they get confiscated?
I'm not sure frozen mooncakes would survive the trip, if they are the type that need freezing. The more traditional ones might do better.
As for being confiscated ... well, I once sent a letter to a friend in America with curry paste smeared all over the bottom. It caused quite a stir, apparently smelling like ... well, very bad after a week in transit. But they let it through.
Of course, that was in more innocent times. A package of mooncakes might just get confiscated now.
Tym: better to find someone going over to the UK, and ask them to hand-carry. And if/when you do, tell me: I'll add some lanterns to the package. =)
i have none of them either, and i'm in singapore!
well i had one box of mooncakes. one.
There's still the moon. It is the same here, there and everywhere. - D W
wahj: That's very thoughtful of you! This is all making me very excited.
j: What?! Only one?! That's just not good enough, is it! You will have to try harder in your quest to become perfectly spherical.
DW: That's true. Unfortunately, I've been working the night shift. I don't get to see it.
