An evening in Minors

Last night I saw:
4 head injuries
3 sprained ankles
3 infected wounds
2 abcesses
2 sprained shoulders
2 broken knees
2 sprained knees
2 badly bruised elbows
1 bad back
1 swallowing problem
1 sprained wrist
1 sprained elbow
1 broken toe
1 impacted wisdom tooth (next time see the dentist!)

I have learned:
1. Always wear seatbelts
2. Between a head and a glass bottle, the bottle always wins
3. Never attempt a kamikaze stunt on a bicycle
4. Let sleeping drunks lie
5. Don't ever dance on the glass roof of the greenhouse

It's interesting, but in the decade or more since Singapore made wearing seatbelts mandatory, I've come to really get used to the feel of wearing one, so much so that when I'm sitting in a car and not wearing a seatbelt, I feel really uncomfortable.

Yeah, what ketsugi said. I even automatically put on the seatbelt when I'm in a cab, even without an automated warning or a grumpy cab driver uncle to remind me. It feels weird otherwise. Ditto when I get into the rear seat of a friend's car.

ketsugi and tym: Good for you! There are too many people who don't put their belts on when they are in the backseat of the car. Big Mistake. It's often the difference between 'a bit of bruising' and 'CPR commenced at scene'.
