It seemed an appropriate time to mention that I once, in my salad days as an IJ girl, showed up at school in the morning, and realised I'd forgotten the belt that goes with the pinafore!
How did you get away with that on the bus and walking to school?! I mean, without the belt, the pinafore is like a shapeless tent, flapping in the wind.
